Syria’s Bashar Assad – An American Ally

–  The Bottom Line  –

I know it comes to a surprise to most people, but Syria’s President Assad is one of America’s strongest allies in the War on Terror Islam.  (1) [1]

[2]Of course there is no good explanation as to why he is friends with Iran.  As a man who married and lived in Syria, the only thing I can think of is that perhaps he saw ‘The Godfather’ and remembers The Don’s sage advice:”keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. ????? ???? ??? ???? [3] ”

Iran is an Islamic Republic.  Syria is a secular state who has resisted Islamic domination for over 40 years.  My take is that Assad has more to worry about with Iran than any of the internal Islamists for now.   Knowing how Islamists operate, there can be no doubt that Iran will stab Assad in the back the first chance they get in order to make Syria another Islamic state and part of the Islamic Caliphate that Iran and now Egypt promise the world.

Most Syrians pray that Assad will be able to keep Syria just like it has been since Assad’s father took control back in 1971.  Christians, Jews and Muslims have lived there in peace ever since Assad’s father delivered the message to The Muslim Brotherhood in 1982:.

It took Syrian intelligence a long time to penetrate the Muslim Brotherhood and diminish its power. In February 1982, Assad ordered the Syrian army to bombard the town of Hama in order to quell a revolt by the Muslim Brotherhood.  In what became known as the Hama massacre, an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 people were killed, including about 1,000 soldiers and thousands of Islamist militants, members of the Muslim Brotherhood. But since America put a brother of Islam and The Muslim Brotherhood in the White House, The Brotherhood has seen an opening and is taking full advantage in the Middle East.  They succeeded in Egypt, Turkey, Libya, and now are working on Syria, among others.

As evidence of Assad’s true ‘politics’, Hamas has ‘left’ Damascus and is headed for Egypt to set up headquarters.  And Assad has learned well from his father how to negotiate with Islam, Hamas and The Muslim Brotherhood;

‘...senior members are being murdered and no one knows who’s doing it.

The only thing left for Mr. Assad to do is to sign a peace treaty with Israel.   I’d bet he’s even thought about it more than once.  But then he’s in Muslim territory.  And those who seek peace are enemies of Islam.  Just ask Mrs. Anwar Sadat…

A Weakening Hamas Asked to Leave Syria, Blames Israel

29 Jun 2012  –  ….  Israel National News is reporting “there has been a rift between Hamas and the Syrian regime ever since the uprising against President Bashar Assad began. ????? ?????? [5] Reports surfaced as early as last May that Hamas is moving its headquarters from Damascus to Egypt and the terror group is strengthening itself in the Sinai.”

Hamas is trusting that the Muslim Brotherhood’s ascension to prominence in Egypt will contribute to more stability for Hamas as well. But for now, they are at such a low ebb that senior members are being murdered and no one knows who’s doing it. ….
