– The Bottom Line –
Here we try to discard all the BS and all the minutia and get right to the heart of the story. Most media of course are stuck in their bubble with a bad case of Born Yesterday mentality. This latest from the 'Material Girl' is a perfect example. Forget about all the storylines and history around Madonna. Same with Obama and the coming election, which of course is huge. But as huge as this election is as part of this headline, the real headline here is that maybe, just maybe this incident will be the the proverbial 'crack in the armor' of the Era of The American Idol Presidency.'
Since the JFK – Nixon TV Debate is 1960, all presidential elections have pretty much been about who could best take advantage of TV coverage. And of course the most important part of that was not your experience or your policies, it was how good you looked and how good you sounded. 'Cool'- not Capable – rules the day in front of the TV camera. And since 1969 it has gotten progressively worse as evidenced in the 2008 election.
More people know more facts about celebrities than our history or any policy issues of the day. The reality interviews like Jay Leno's 'Jaywalk' and Howard Stern's interviews in 2008 and 2012 which are a pathetic commentary on the American electorate in the 21st Century.
Howard Stern Exposes Obama Supporters 2012
BUT, there is hope! Now Madonna is the poster child for how America has become a celebrity idolizing society. It's a safe bet to say that anyone who would spend up to $500.00 for a ticket to see her are pretty much 'dedicated', to say the least.
Well one could never imagine that Madonna's fans would actually boo her for anything. But they did. And at a concert. And some walked out! They did because she got political and tried to tell them to vote for Obama!
Are Americans waking up from their celebrity hypnosis? Could the 'American Idol' type voters starting to see the importance and the difference between an American leader and an overrated entertainer?
Let's pray that we have turned the corner and that the 2012 election will be the first road back to electoral sanity in America.

Posted on October 28, 2012 by Madeleine Morgenstern
Madonna was booed and had several concertgoers walk out after she told a New Orleans crowd to vote for President Barack Obama, the Associated Press reported.
“Who’s registered to vote?” Madonna asked during Saturday night’s performance of her “MDNA” tour. “I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.”
Drawing jeers from the crowd, she added: “Seriously, I don’t care who you vote for … Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.” …
